Zouz incense is an artist-made product and is an extension of the studio practice of artist Mike and Melissa Paré. After much research and experimentation, they decided to use only whole plant incense supplies and a natural Japanese binder - makko powder, made from tree bark. Zouz does not use any artificial ingredients such as burning accelerants or fragrance oils. Zouz also does not use added essential oils.

High Desert - Contains: White Sage & Lavender. Great for intellectual activity, cleaning, relaxing and preparing a space for creative practice.
Copalo - Contains: White Copal, Red Cedar, and Palo Santo. Woodsy, Resinous, and Cleansing scent.
Sun Smoke - Contains: Sandalwood, Clove, Star Anise, Cinnamon, Cardamom. Warm, Earthy, Spicy - not overpowering, very mellow.
Moon Mix - Contains: Orris Root, Myrhh & Sandalwood. Watery, Soft, Flowery, Feminine, Intuitive, Dreamy, Meditative. Great for maintaining creative energy.

Using the best ingredients available is our priority at Zouz. This means using organic cultivated ingredients (not poached ingredients), such as white sage and lavender, ethically wildcrafted Frankincense and Myrrhimported directly from Yemen, and sustainable Indian sandalwood that comes from Australia.
