Orange Peel Bakery is a beacon of the Martha’s Vineyard community with a legendary wood-fired stone oven sitting at the heart. This celebrated gathering space on sacred Wampanoag territorial land provides the perfect backdrop for bakery owner Juli Vanderhoop, whose penchant for giving to those around her knows no limits. From honoring her indigenous roots on the island to serving the public with savory confections, Juli overflows with good vibes, and many would argue, the best baked goods in the world.

We were thrilled to meet up with Juli at her cozy outdoor space and learn about her work within and beyond her native land, and we jumped at the chance to design the Orange Peel Bakery logo.

Her hand-built stone oven is depicted on our best-selling, organic Sojourn and Sur collections, as well as our beloved Blanket Shirt (coming soon). Tonal hues sit against garment-dyed pigments and capture the beauty of the construction - the iconic centerpiece of her magical world.
