This is how sweatshirts were made in the 70s. Not light and fluffy but not heavy or too thick. If you want classic old school this is it. The pic is of the new one behind it's predecessor. The OG is in garment dyed sepia and is three years old. Even gentle wash cycles faded it nicely. Don't let the holes worry you because they are well earned. I wore this pretty much three days a week nine months out of the year for three years. Notice I didn't say replacement because as long as I can patch up the old one it will stay in rotation. You don't kick your best friend to the curb because they are getting a little frayed around the edges.

I like the sweatshirt. The unconventional material is nice and the fit is one of my favorites. The durability has been a let down for me. After about two years of gentle use, multiple holes have formed at/near seems. I have 10+ sweaters in rotation and live in a climate where a sweatshirt is a seasonal item. This is my only sweatshirt that has developed a hole or holes.

I’m disappointed writing this because the style and fit are great. But the quality is poor. After the first washing holes appeared in the sleeve and armpit. More holes are now appearing at the seams. The photos show current condition after only light wear and a couple washings. Very disappointed.

I love, love, love this sweatshirt and want to get it in more colors. I can feel the quality in the weight of the fabric, which by the way, is all natural (hemp and cotton). The texture is as comfortable to wear as it is fun to look at. The kind of stylish piece that I would buy multiples of.
Stay vigilant if eating messy food or drinking coffee or wine while wearing this - it is a hand-dyed garment and does not take kindly to stain remover or scrubbing.
It feels true to size to me, but just barely, and could easily cross over into running small, especially after a wash. Speaking of washing, be sure to follow the care instructions on the label, and seriously consider washing it by itself as the colors will bleed during at least the first wash.
